We absolutely love Fairmont gold for its remarkable originality, and this piece is no exception. The coin boasts a rich russet coloration evenly spread across both sides. There are no major marks of consequence, and the luster exceeds its grade. A few tiny ticks on the devices keep it at MS65, but it’s truly lovely in hand. These coins pretty much vanished after the Fairmont auctions, with astute collectors tucking them away, and we’re unlikely to see them again anytime soon.
